At Rishihood University, the success of our B.Tech in CS & DS program isn’t measured by grades alone. It shows up in what students build, how they apply learning, and how they tackle real-world challenges.
If a B.Tech degree only lived in classrooms, it wouldn’t get very far. Learning at the Rishihood campus is project-driven from day one. Students work hands-on across advanced labs in AI, Robotics, IoT, and Product Design, applying concepts as they learn them, not years later.
And the outcomes speak for themselves.
In their first year itself, CS & DS students have built startups, won hackathons and case competitions, secured internships, and gained meaningful industry exposure. These achievements aren’t exceptions, they are a direct result of an experiential curriculum paired with the right mentorship and ecosystem .
Let’s deep dive into student achievements in their first year at Rishihood
Competitions won by CS & DS students
A strong measure of learning is how students perform when evaluated externally. CS & DS students at Rishihood University have actively participated in national-level competitions and innovation platforms, competing alongside peers from leading institutions including IITs, IIMs, Masters’ Union and even ISB!

Internships and projects CS & DS students
Industry exposure plays a key role in shaping career readiness. Students in the CS & DS program are encouraged to engage with real organisations early, gaining practical insight into how technology functions in professional environments.
1. Lakshya Katiyar, Interning at Google Student Ambassador

Lakshya Katiyar (1st year CS & DS) was selected as a Google Student Ambassador, a six-month campus leadership program focused on promoting Google tools, including Gemini AI. As part of the role, he conducted a large-scale workshop with over 135 students, building campus awareness and engagement, and plans to expand Gemini adoption through more hands-on sessions across the university.
2. Aditya Prakash Singal, Interning at Launched Global
Aditya Prakash Singal (1st year B.Tech CS–DS) successfully completed a Machine Learning course internship at Launched Global, where he strengthened his theoretical foundation and applied his skills through hands-on learning and a Python-based capstone project.
These achievements aren ’t random; they come from a learning environment built for action.
Our continuous support structure enables first-year students to achieve what many only attempt after graduation. Our CS & DS program emphasizes:
Project-based learning that lets students build and apply skills immediately
Continuous mentorship from industry experts and faculty
Access to grants and incubation to transform ideas into real ventures
Cross-disciplinary collaboration across labs and programs
A culture of experimentation, encouraging curiosity and innovation
Looking ahead, our CS & DS students start building, competing, and gaining industry exposure long before graduation. For prospective students and parents, these outcomes show that this program is designed for real-world readiness, meaningful results, and a head start in technology and entrepreneurship.
